We collect: your name; your address;t he country you live in; your email address; your phone numbers; details of your education and working career; your personal interests; anddetails of how you interact with the Jobs website and Jobs app, and vacancies you might be interested in.
How do you collect it?
You provide personal data to the Jobs website by:r egistering as a user;posting material to the Jobs website (for example, your CV); andstoring a copy of your CV and any other information you provide when you send it to a recruiter.
What do you do with my personal data?
We will store a copy of: your CV, and any other information you provide, for no longer than we need an individual account to send job applications from;the option to receive email alerts about relevant jobs.
How do the different services available through the Jobs website use my data?
Email alerts
There are two email alerts that you can receive. If you have signed up for email alerts through the Jobs website, you can receive general job alerts emails suggesting new vacancies, that may be based on previous Jobs website searches. To stop the emails, you can use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.When you have a Jobs website profile you can also choose to receive Job match emails that are tailored to your job preferences, for example, sector and location. You can stop these emails by using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email.
One-off job applications
When you apply for a one-off application, we keep a copy of your CV and share it directly with the company who advertised the position.
Logged in – CV
When you have created an account with the Jobs website and uploaded your CV details, we store your details on the CV database.
Logged in – job applications
When you create an account with the Jobs website, we keep your information in a database until you close your account. Through your account you can change your job-search preferences and control who can see your CV if you have one associated with the account.
Who we share information with
We can access and release personal information to keep to relevant laws and government requests, to operate our systems properly and to protect both us and our users. Any other organisations who access your information while providing services on our behalf will be governed by strict contractual restrictions to make sure that they protect your information and keep to data-protection and privacy laws which apply. We may also audit these service providers to make sure that they meet our standards. We may use service providers to help us run these sites (or services available on the sites), some of whom may be based outside the EEA. Some of our webpages use ‘plug-ins’ from other organisations. These other organisations may use information about your visit to our websites on their pages. If you browse these pages while still also logged in to your account with us, information they collect may be connected to your account on their site.
